All About Us

Tracy has worked within the fitness industry since 1995, teaching a wide range of fitness classes, gym-based Fitness Instructing and Personal Training. She then progressed to Health and Fitness Centre Management.

 

She qualified as a Pilates teacher in 2003, leaving her full time profession in December 2007 to pursue a solo career in Pilates. Since then she has ran regular Pilates classes at numerous venues across Pendle, North and West Yorkshire. The classes can accommodate clients with no experience of pilates but also those with lots of experience. Any medical concerns are taken into consideration and alternative moves are offered where appropriate.

 

Tracy has trained with various training organisations including:

 

  • Pilates Training Solutions

  • Modern Pilates

  • APPI

  • M Bodies Training Academy

  • Triggerpoint Pilates with Lydia Campbell

 

Her husband David qualified in Pilates in 2018 and they became Team Edmondson Pilates. Since David joined the business they have been able to offer more classes and teach together on occasions too.

 

David has trained with the following organisations:

 

  • HFE

  • APPI

  • Art of Motion

 

David has found Pilates through a different route to Tracy. He served for 11 years in the Royal Navy leaving as a Chief Petty Officer Artificer, he was responsible for the maintenance and repair of Aircraft. He then taught Design and Technology in Secondary Schools for 20 years, specialising in Electronics and Systems. This is something he feels helps him a great deal when carrying out posture analysis. He also taught games and mountain activities at school for many years.

 

He is a very keen runner with some success, Lancashire V40 Fell Running Champion 2010 and more recently he was 2017/18 Silver medalist in the Mid Lancs Cross Country League and 2018 Lancashire 10 mile V50 Road Running Champion. First V50 in the prestigious Trafford 10K in 2019.

 

Perhaps the greatest achievement was running for England in the V50 10k Team in 2019.

 

He is also a Mountain Leader and has climbed Mount Blanc.

 

Through working with Tracy to improve his running performance and rehabilitate after injury and prevent future injury he has grown to understand and appreciate the value of Pilates. Indeed, his running performances are now improving despite approaching his mid fifties!
